Biggest after-school football session ever! - Tues 5th March

Three years ago, we struggled to field one girls football team to represent Edgbarrow. We now have three teams filled with over 80 girls representing our school. Thanks to the kind generosity of our local community, we have fantastic new football kits matching the excellent level of football developing here in school. England Football are working with the Girls’ Football School Partnership to create the Biggest Football Session branded #LetGirlsPlay and Edgbarrow School is excited to be part of this.

We are delighted with the high influx of girls’ football here at Edgbarrow and, to remain in line with our inclusive community approach of Edgbarrow, we would like to invite all students to our biggest after-school football session ever. This will be held on Tuesday 5th March from 3.30pm to 4.30pm at Edgbarrow School, across the Astro and grass pitches. All students from Year 7 to 11, regardless of gender, are invited to come and take part in this event. Bring your shin pads and footwear, and most importantly, we would like you to wear a football shirt of your choice. This can be a club shirt you play for, or a premier league club shirt. Any football shirt is allowed.
