During the Autumn term, Year 7 students learnt about life in Medieval England. We studied the Battle of Hastings and some of the changes that William the Conqueror brought to England – which changed the face of England for good. For their homework projects, Year 7 researched the different groups of people who lived in Britain before the year 1100, to understand the great diversity of people living in the British Isles at this time. The groups of people researched were: Vikings, Normans, Anglo-Saxons, Romans, Danes, Scots, Welsh and Irish.
